Q. What are permissions of the items you sell?

A. All my prim items are copy/mod/no trans. All my clothing layers items are no mod/ copy/no trans. That’s pretty common practice and is done for customer’s most convenience to be able to fit prim parts as they choose to their shape with the freedom to always revert back to the original copy. However, the textures on the clothing layers need to be protected, that is why it’s no mod. The different variations of clothing layers (f.ex. longsleeved and sleeveless) are included in the most designs to compensate the lack of “mod” permission. NB. The skins permissions are no mod/copy/no trans. Because skins are so expencive, the “copy” permission is enable to avoid accidental deleting of the only originals.

Q. Why there are no options to buy a Caverna Obscura item as a gift?

A. Currently there are these options available to buy a Caverna Obscura item as a gift:
1) through the XStreetSL website (link is here to the right);
2) to contact me directly, either via IM in-world to Elvina Ewing or by sending me an email. That is because i have no experience with Gift vouchers at all as i’ve never bought anything as a gift myself. So i haven’t figured out yet how it works. Maybe someday i will Until then i remain rather ignorant about gift purchases, but please feel free to just contact me if you want to buy a gift!! I don’t bite and will be glad to help you out right away! Changing permissions of all my items to mod/no copy/trans is not an option as this is against my principles. I strongly believe that it’s not a good way out to take away all customers’ freedom to modify and fiddle with the item as they like for the sake of the small minority of those who ever would want to buy it as a gift.

Q. Caverna Obscura only carries female outfits! What about us males? Why don’t you create any male stuff? Will you ever make some?

A. I dont make male outfits. There are several reasons for that, like:
- i’m female myself both in SL and RL and have no idea actually what males would and would not wear;
- i dont have a SL partner or a very good male friend who i would like to please so why bother
- when i’ve just released a new outfit i usually walk around wearing it for a while. Good for the promotion you know but making male outfits means i cannot do that because: a) I dont want under any circumstances to wear male shape; b) it looks very weird with the name i have
- i dont care about males much, unless they are my friends
- there is this great shop for male outfits called Husky GFX, look it up! they create awesome male outfits so why should i bother
If you still want me to create something for men:
- use flattery!!!
- don’t tell me things i’ve done wrong, that certainly won’t make me wanna do anything for you!! I don’t have to prove you anything!
- Convince me! but be nice! oh, and i hate machos!
- Don’t whine!!!!!!

Q. Do you do custom fitting?

A. Usually i don’t. But i’m glad to help you with advice, especially if you’re new to SL. If you really cannot fit an item you bought at Caverna Obscura, i even can send you a modifiable shape for free so that you could give it you own face f.ex. and wear it with the outfit. So if you like the idea don’t hesitate to contact me On some special occasions i even might do custom fitting myself for you, but then there must be a really good reason for that. Oh, and have i mentioned i prefer very nice and friendly people?

Q. Do you make custom outfits?

A. It depends. I certainly welcome creative ideas! If i like your idea and feel it might really work well, i will put it on my list. It usually means it will take weeks and sometimes even months (depending on the difficulty, time in-world and size of the list) before it comes out. And when it does, be prepaired that i will be selling this item in my store after that. But you will even get a discount for your original idea! If you want the exclusive item that only you will have and nobody else, i will have to disappoint you that i won’t do such things, not even for L$60000. There is only one condition i would make an exclusive custom outfit: if you know a good way to promote and advertise my store and will do it for me in return. Think blogs, good reviews on popular sites or some other good publicity.

Q. Will you rent at my mall/sim/market?

A. Usually i already rent at the good fantasy/RP/medieval/gothic sims and have 5-8 shoppes around the grid. If you want me to consider renting at your place, it should be:
- fantasy/RP/medieval/gothic related;
- have either good traffic or low rent price;
- easy to reach (like sim entry point, or a good tp system);
- not required to join a group to be able to rezz there; (optional)
- better less prims, lower price. Possibility to go larger later.
If your sim is new and doesn’t have much traffic yet but you expect that in the future, i would expect you offering first few weeks of rent for free or at a very low price.

I don’t work with split profit scripts. However, if it’s less than 10% and the place is worth it, i might consider your offer.
